Every market has its own unique conditions and trends and part of the reason you hire a real estate agent is to benefit from the knowledge they have of your local market. Therefore, you should be sure they have that knowledge before you hire them.

Make Sure You Can Get Along: You don’t have to be best friends, but you should have a pleasant working relationship with your realtor. You’re going to be communicating with them often and trusting them to handle a major financial decision on your behalf. So, it’s important that you don’t hate one another, otherwise, the relationship is going to be tense and unproductive.
